Data information notice in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (‘Data Act’) for related services
Bosch HomeCom Pro / Buderus Connect Pro / IVT Connect Pro („Service“)
Connected products and related services of Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH generate various data and information during their use. The following provides information about the data transferred and made available when using the service, how to access this data, and your data rights.
1. Transferred product data
1.1. Type, volume and frequency of data transmission
During the operation and use of the service, the following product data and related service data may be generated and transmitted. The specific data generated will vary based on the particular usage of the Service.
(a) Types of product data
Physical data: Current data (e.g. temperature, pressure, power, energy)
Device identification data (e.g. serial number, hardware and software version)
Status data (e.g. on/off, present/not present)
Error messages
Setting values / user configurations (e.g. room setpoint temperature, time programmes)
Historical Data (e.g. timeseries sensor data)
(b) Estimated volume
The amount of data varies depending on the data point and the use of the Service, with data volumes per data point ranging from 1 byte/h to 250 kB/h.
(c) Frequency of transmission:
The product data is transmitted continuously as long as an internet connection exists. The update frequency depends on the data point and ranges from every second to a single update after starting the Service.
2. Generated related service data
In addition to submitted product data, related service data is generated when using the service.
2.1. Type and estimated volume of generated related service data
(a) Types of related service data:
Device identification data (e.g. serial number, hardware and software version)
Status data (e.g. on/off, present/not present)
Error messages
Setting values / user configurations (e.g. room setpoint temperature, time programmes)
(b) Estimated volume
The amount of data varies depending on the data point and the use of the Service, with data volumes per data point ranging from 1 byte/h to 250 kB/h.
(c) Currentness of data
The data in the product is generated during use and operation in real time and continuously.
3. Storage location and retention period
The storage location and retention period vary for different data points.
The data is stored on external servers under the data holder's responsibility.
Snapshots are overwritten when a new one is requested. Historical data is stored for two years, after that, it is anonymized.
4. Access modalities
You can access the data generated and potentially stored within the platform / related service as follows:
Web Platform: The product data stored in the backend is available via the Gateway Management Portal/Service Partner Portal. To access this, you must be authenticated with your system using the Gateway Management Portal/Service Partner Portal. This requires the use of a computer or smartphone with the mobile application.

5. Terms of service, contract term and termination options
The terms of service which govern the term of the contract for the use of the Service and the options for early termination, for which acceptance is mandatory in order to use the Service and make use of any direct data access rights, can be viewed here: The terms of use of the Service can be viewed in the Gateway Management Portal/Service Partner Portal via info section or upon logging in the web app for the first time, or when the terms of service change. Contract termination can be achieved by not accepting these terms or via account deletion on the Gateway Management Portal/Service Partner Portal

If you wish to allow or stop the disclosure of data to a third party after you have asked us to do so,
If you wish to share/stop the data with a third party or terminate such sharing, please add/remove the connection to that party on the Gateway Management Portal/Service Partner Portal with your customer/service provider service representative.
9. Right of appeal to the supervisory authority
In the event that you believe that your rights under Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority responsible for supervising compliance with Regulation (EU) 2023/2854.
10. Information on trade secrets
The data generated by the networked product and the Service includes data that is subject to trade secret protection.
