Data information notice in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (‘Data Act’) for related services

Bosch EasyService / Buderus ProWork / IVT AnyWork („Service“)

Connected products and related services of Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH generate various data and information during their use. The following provides information about the data transferred and made available when using the service, how to access this data, and your data rights.


1. Transferred product data

1.1. Type, volume and frequency of data transmission

During the operation and use of the service, the following product data and related service data may be generated and transmitted. The specific data generated will vary based on the particular usage of the Service.

(a) Types of product data

  • Physical data: Current data (e.g. temperature, pressure, power, energy)

  • Device identification data (e.g. serial number, hardware and software version)

  • Status data (e.g. on/off, present/not present)

  • Error messages

  • Setting values / user configurations (e.g. room setpoint temperature, time programmes)

(b) Estimated volume

The amount of data varies depending on the data point and the use of the Service, with data volumes per data point ranging from 1 byte/session to 720 bytes/h.

(c) Frequency of transmission:

The product data is only transmitted when the Service is in use. The update frequency depends on the data point and ranges from every second to a single update after starting the Service.


2. Generated related service data

In addition to submitted product data, related service data is generated when using the service.

2.1. Type and estimated volume of generated related service data

(a) Types of related service data:

  • Physical data: Current data (e.g. temperature, pressure, power, energy)

  • Device identification data (e.g. serial number, hardware and software version)

  • Status data (e.g. on/off, present/not present)

  • Error messages

  • Setting values / user configurations (e.g. room setpoint temperature, time programmes)

  • Calculated values for e.g. Energy Efficiency

(b) Estimated volume

The amount of data varies depending on the data point and the use of the Service, with data volumes per data point ranging from 1 byte/session to 1080 bytes/h.

(c) Currentness of data

The data in the product is generated during use and operation in real time and continuously.


3. Storage location and retention period

The storage location and retention period vary for different data points.

The data is stored on external servers under the data holder's responsibility and locally on the data holder´s end device.

  • The product data is permanently stored on external servers under the responsibility of the data owner.

  • The product data is stored locally on the data owner's devices for the duration of the use of the service. In this case, the product data is deleted after the connection is terminated, typically after the following time period >2h.


4. Access modalities

You can access the data generated and potentially stored within the platform / related service as follows:

Web Platform: The product data stored in the backend is available via the Gateway Management Portal. To access this, you must be authenticated with your system using the Gateway Management Portal. This requires the use of a computer or smartphone with the mobile application.

Request: The product data stored locally on the data owner's device is available upon request to your on-site customer service representative. You must engage with your customer service representative while the connection between the application and the product is active and be able to receive data in digital form. This requires the use of a computer or smartphone with common communication interfaces, such as email, Bluetooth, etc.

Data access requires the use of

  • A computer with associated software and data cable (USB)

  • Mobile device.

  • The use of the Gateway Management Portal:

5. Terms of service, contract term and termination options

The terms of service which govern the term of the contract for the use of the Service and the options for early termination, for which acceptance is mandatory in order to use the Service and make use of any direct data access rights, can be viewed here: The term of use of the Service can be viewed in the app via settings or upon opening the app for the first time.


6. Information on our own use of the data received

The data received and generated is used by the data holder as follows:

  • To provide the functionalities of the Service and the networked product

  • For the development and further development of products and services

8. Disclosure to Third Parties

If you wish to share the data with a third party or terminate such sharing, please engage with your customer service representative, who can share data with third party on behalf of you.


9. Right of appeal to the supervisory authority

In the event that you believe that your rights under Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority responsible for supervising compliance with Regulation (EU) 2023/2854.


10. Information on trade secrets

The data generated by the networked product and the Service does not include any data that is subject to trade secret protection.
